Hello friends. We are thrilled to see many great Down Syndrome Awareness Walks are happening today! On another note we are less than thrilled with our phone line and Internet problems that we are having:( please call my direct phone line Tuesday-Friday at 715-514-9036 if we can answer any questions or wrap up any orders for you that are existing. We will have everything corrected by the end if the week and thank you for your help!

Thank you for everyone that ordered lately. We have downsized our online inventory to just a few hand selected advocacy items. You can view these items by going to www.downsyndromefootprint.org/store.html

We will be processing any orders we received and they will be shipped out early next week. Thank you again for your support!

The Down Syndrome Footprint Foundation is committed to creating greater awareness, empowerment, and employment opportunities for all individuals with Down syndrome.

Facebook friends I received a question the other day and I need your help and suggestions. A medical professional in our area contacted me with the following question:

"We have an adult patient with Down syndrome that is extremely afraid of having her blood drawn but due to a condition, must on occasion to monitor her medicine. She is no longer a child and it is hard to obtain a blood sample. Is there any help out there for such circumstances?"

Does anyone have any advice that we can help make this a better experience for both of them?

Just wanted to share Annaliese's biography for the "Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show" that she just took part in this past weekend. I had to giggle just a little about the part where she wants to be a singer with Taylor Swift...on the other hand, SHOOT FOR THE STARS ANNALIESE! Let's keep building all of the confidence that we can in our kids and adult family members with Down syndrome so that they feel they can achieve anything AND everything:)

Anna's Biography:

The best words to describe Annaliese are spunky and outgoing. She is an 11 year old 5th grader that resides in Chippewa Falls, WI with her family.

Her favorites in life are chocolate, loud music, dancing, teasing her best friends and brothers Maxwell (9) and Nathaniel (7), and being a model and advocate for her families business which she inspired, Down Syndrome Footprint.

Active in ballet, girl scouts, Special Olympics, and the UWEC Pride program, she stays busy throughout the year.

When asked what she would like to be when she gets older she said, "most likely a princess, a singer with Taylor Swift, or just hang out with my friends!"
