When in doubt, THROW IT OUT!
✴If you experienced power loss and kept refrigerator and freezer doors tightly closed, food will be safe in the refrigerator for up to 4 hours.
✴Food in a full freezer will be kept safe for up to 48 hours and 24 hours if the freezer is half-full.
✅Throw away any food that has come in contact with water.
✅Throw away food that has an unusual smell, color, or texture.
✅The Smell Test isn't enough: Pathogens causing foodborne illness do not always give off an odor. If you aren't sure how long an item has been at room temperature, discard it.
‼️️Remember: When in doubt, throw it out!
