Meet Andrew, joining the Dogwood Acres team from Tallahassee, where he's working toward becoming a firefighter.

His pump-up song is "Shining Star" by Earth, Wind and Fire. Certified good taste.
He plays trombone. We are forming our own orchestra here at Dogwood!
His forever meal is a grilled chicken sandwich. Simple. Dependable. Classic Andrew.

She heard Dogwood calling — and she came back.

Antha is returning to the Dogwood Acres team from Pensacola, where she's double majoring in marine biology AND music at UWF. Charismatic, trustworthy, and self-described "silly-goofy" — if you know Antha, you already know this summer just got better.

She loves lake day more than most people love anything. Lunch at the lake is non-negotiable.

She sings. Beautifully. Your camper will come home humming something.
Oh, and there's a tooth embedded in her nasal cavity. She's thriving.

Some people come back because they have to. Antha comes back because there's nowhere else she'd rather be.

She's optimistic, compassionate, silly, and approximately 10% fluent in French.
Meet Maya, coming to us from Tallahassee and soon to be at UCF studying nursing.

She's the kind of person who brings paint, positivity, and Hungry Howie's pizza with black olives to the table — and we mean that literally.

A few things about Maya:
Her pump-up song is "Rotten to the Core" from Descendants.
She's a painter. Expect art to happen at camp this summer.
Most excited for: Energizers. Same, Maya. Same.

Nine countries visited. One summer at Dogwood Acres. She says this one might be her favorite.

Hailey is coming to us from Tallahassee, studying Elementary Education and bringing every ounce of that energy to camp this summer. Empathetic, supportive, and encouraging — her future students are going to be so lucky.

She swims. Like, really swims. Waterfront is going to love her.
She's been to 9 countries and counting — ask her about it.
Paper plate awards and talent shows are already at the top of her list, and honestly same.

She's been coming to Dogwood Acres her whole life. This summer, she's coming back as staff.
Meet Kate, joining us from Tallahassee and soon to be studying at the University of Tennessee — and yes, she's bringing Taylor Swift energy with her.

She's done ballet her whole life (bubbly, kind, excitable, and has excellent footwork).
Her graphic design skills might just end up on your camper's crafts.
Her forever meal? Tacos. No further questions.

Say hello to Clara, joining the Dogwood Acres team this summer from Blountstown, FL — fresh off her BA in Art and Performance from Arizona State.

A few things to know about Clara:
She describes herself as uplifting, understanding, and hilarious (her words, and we believe her).
Her go-to pump-up song is "Wavin' Flag." The whole camp will know the words by week two.
She is an elite doodler. Not a drawer. A doodler. There is a difference.

The secret is out. 🛏️

We just installed 34 brand new Tempur-Pedic twin mattresses across our cabin bottom bunks and Monroe Lodge rooms, and we are so excited for every camper and guest who gets to sleep on them this summer.

This wouldn't have happened without our incredible crew of volunteers who showed up today to move, haul, and cover every single one. You know who you are and we are so grateful for you.

A huge thank you also goes out to our friends at Ferncliff Camp and Conference Center for making this possible. The generosity of the camp community never stops amazing us.
