Isaiah 43:18-21
“Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert. 20 The beast of the field will honor Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I give waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My people, My chosen.
21 This people I have formed for Myself; They shall declare My praise.
The Lord speaking to Israel reminds them who He is and His relationship with them. They must not rely on the former pattern nor relationship. He declares He will initiate a new regime. He is pointing to establishing a new people Whom He has chosen. He will give them living water. They are formed for Himself. Their identifying characteristic will be worship. Worshipers who have intimate knowledge of His Plans, Purposes and Ways. They will look to Him as the Sustainer of LIFE. Water in the Bible is a reference to the Holy Spirit.
The Redeemed are those Chosen Ones. This is THE HOUR. We will declare His Praise.

Galatians 3:1-4
O foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? 2 This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? 3 Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? 4 Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain?
This is a serious question for the whole church. If the “Early Church” grew by the power of the Spirit how can we attempt to grow and fulfill the Purpose of God with anything less? The common thought today is those powerful manifestations of the Spirit were merely to “kick start” the Church. So some say that although we began in the Spirit we can continue in the power of the flesh. The claim is that now we have the completed Canon of Scripture gifts, signs and wonders are no longer needed to “verify” the doctrine we preach. But is this not removing the Holy Spirit from active demonstrations in the Church? One question arises concerning the Gifts: Why did the Holy Spirit give them? Were not the gifts given to minister in a Divine Supernatural manner to meet the needs of men which could not be addressed by natural means?
Yes it confirms the Message that Jesus is Lord and the Gospel true but they also meet human need. Are we to choose to be satisfied to continue to move in the flesh neglecting the Power Promised in Acts 1:8?

The Apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: 2 Timothy 1:9
“... (the Lord) who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.
Paul spoke of calling for all disciples and Graces imparted to function in the Kingdom. Each of us has a task, a role, a contribution to the Body of Christ. In addition I have come to understand that Placement is also in the calling. By that I mean a locality, a region, sphere of influence. Paul was forbidden to enter into Asia but was rather turned toward Macedonia. He had some sense of the sphere of his influence and obligation. When in one’s appointed place there is a Grace which flows. When one is where the Lord has determined to place us His overflowing Grace and favor is ours. This is one portion one realizes fulfilled by Romans 12:1 & 2.
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Let us endeavor to be sensitive to this truth and find WHERE we are to be.

In response to a question in our classes I offer this. About your question regarding false converts. There are people who truly believe and who have been born again but fail to live in the Grace of God. The parable of the Sower teaches us what happens to people who receive the Word but whose choices hinder the full effect in their lives. Paul wrote to Timothy to commit to Faithful men what he had been taught. Faithful men are those who demonstrate in their lives the full working of the Holy Spirit and the Word. They are changed and do not go back to old ways of thinking. Jesus said, Luke 9:62 “No one, having put his hand to the plow and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” One must keep on keeping on in the doctrine delivered to them. But some become double minded and turn back. The Book of Hebrews was written to Jews who might have thought to go back under the Law instead of living in Grace. Derek Prince said that it is very difficult for a Jew or a Muslim who has become born again not to go back under law.!! They seek outward ritual to establish their righteousness instead of Faith in the finished work of the cross. For them keeping rules is satisfying. Pride and vanity. Keeping a relationship, even with God, is more demanding than keeping rules. One can keep rules without contact with His presence. And My Brother the key and vital element of our Walk with the Lord is staying in touch with His presence. Hearing His Voice. Keep rules and one need not KNOW Him intimately but just knowing about Him is not enough. This Sunday I will touch on our walk and living in His Grace. 2 Peter 1:3-11. Grace to all who call upon His Name in Faith.

The expressed desire of two great men of God. Teach me Your ways, That I may know You.
Exodus 33:13 AMP.
Now therefore, I pray You, if I have found favor in Your sight, show me now Your way, that I may know You [progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with You, perceiving and recognizing and understanding more strongly and clearly] and that I may find favor in Your sight. And [Lord, do] consider that this nation is Your people.

PHILIPPIANS 3:10-11
[For my determined purpose is] that I may know Him [that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly], and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection [which it exerts over believers], and that I may so share His sufferings as to be continually transformed [in spirit into His likeness even] to His death, [in the hope] 11 That if possible I may attain to the [spiritual and moral] resurrection [that lifts me] out from among the dead [even while in the body]. To Moses the Lord said, "My PRESENCE will go with you."
