For those who havent seen this on the SoCal website and page, the Annual Turkey run is almost here. Orange Coast Rhodesian Ridgeback Club has 3 days of AKC and ASFA events planned in Chino. Come join us for a long weekend of coursing fun- there is something for everyone 😀! Join us for the upcoming CCA lure coursing trials, June 21-22 at Prado Dog Park in Chino Hills CA. PLs for the AKC all sighthound trial and ASFA Silken Windhound Specialty with LCI, are posted at Southern California Lure Coursing . Get your entries in. The next trial will be our special summer event, The ASFA Sunrise Trial, July 26-27.

SAVE THE DATE! Orange Coast Rhodesian Ridgeback Club will host an all-breed ASFA Sunrise Trial July 26-27 in Chino Hills, CA at Prado Dog Recreation. Limited LCI entries will be available. The field will open at 6am and roll call will be 6:30am. We hope to be on and off the field before the midday heat and we can enjoy each other's company in the shade or at a nearby pup. The Premium List will be on the ASFA site soon and will be posted it is available on line.

Would you like to know more about the rules of lure coursing? Would you like to start the process of becoming an AKC lure coursing judge? Join us for an AKC Lure Coursing Judging Seminar in Southern California, Friday Sept. 27, 2024. The flyer and registration information are posted at:

California Coursing Association will be offering 2 days of lure coursing on Sept 28-29. AKC judges will be available to provide mentoring and on-the-field experience for seminar attendees who would like to practice some of what they learn at the seminar. We hope to see lots of you at the seminar.

The ASFA premium List is posted for the upcoming CCA Silken Windhound Specialty Lure Coursing trial held in Chino Hills June 8-9. The Singles stake is open to all ASFA recognized Sighthounds who are 1 year old or older. The LCI stakes are open to all non Sighthounds including mixes who are 1 year old or older. All sighthound AKC trials all 3 days and 3 days of ASFA Silken Windhound specialties and LCI Stakes. Judges will be John Arvin and Rose’ Marnoch. There will be a continuum competition for hounds who run all 3 days with a prize for the continuum winner. We will also have a special Turkey Dog costume competition. Stay tuned for more details but save the date. Trial will be held at Prado Dog Recreation and dry camping will be available on site or at Prado Regional Park nearby with hook ups. Hope to see you in Nov in sunny So Cal!
