Full inclusion is not only about school. It's also about home and community. 🏠🌳

Neurodivergent individuals have the right to live independently and be included in the community, as stated in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. 📜

They also have the right to access home- and community-based services that support their needs and preferences, such as personal assistance, health care, transportation, recreation and more. 💙

Full inclusion means that individuals with disabilities can participate and contribute to society in meaningful ways, just like anyone else. 🙌

They can make friends, join clubs, volunteer, work, vote, and enjoy life. 😊

Let's celebrate and support full inclusion in our homes and communities. Join me in raising awareness and advocating for the rights and opportunities of people with disabilities. ✊

I am and proud of who I am. I am not broken, defective or less than. I am a neurodivergent person with unique strengths and challenges. I deserve respect, acceptance and support. 🌈

But the mainstream education system failed me. They did not understand me or my needs. They tried to change me, control me, silence me. They used restraints and exclusion methods that traumatized me and violated my rights. They did not follow my IEP or BIP or conduct an FBA. They discriminated against me and denied me a fair education. 😡

This is not okay. This is not acceptable. This is not legal. This is not humane. This has to stop. We need to speak up, fight back and demand justice. We need to raise awareness, educate others and create change. We need to stand together, support each other and celebrate our diversity. 💪

Join me and the movement in challenging the status quo and creating a more inclusive and compassionate world for all of us. 💜
