SUMMER IN THE PARK CONCERT SERIES
2/5th’s Party Band

Chilton City Band and City of Chilton‘s Summer in the Park Concert Series is kicking off this rollicking summer good time by welcoming back the 2/5th’s Party Band on Thursday, June 4th at Hobart Park by the Fairgrounds in Chilton. The State Bank of Chilton is supporting this awesome sounding band for this event. This musical group is headed by Tom Schneider who is a musical jack of all trades playing multiple musical instruments including the accordion. He is joined by three equally talented musicians that put the variety into their musical offerings. The band still plays music from the Jerry Schneider Band, but has added a wide range of music including country music from Willie Nelson and Patsy Cline. They have added a helping of rock music from Jimmy Buffet and Jim Croce among other artists. As their band and brand name implies “Let’s have a party.” with this first concert.

Next week the featured music group will be the Chilton City Band in their first appearance of the summer season. We have been practicing new and exciting music for our first concert this year. If you would still like to join us for the summer, we are located in the basement of Chilton City Hall on Tuesdays at 7 pm for rehearsals. The VFW starts serving food and refreshments at 5:30 and will sell throughout the concert. Music will begin at 7. Bring a blanket, lawn chair, or stay in your vehicle and enjoy the music!
