Ross county Jr. Fair market chicken pick up is scheduled for Thursday June 18th from 4-6pm. Drive through the large animal show arena. 🐓

Make sure you have food and a warm (~95 degrees) place for your turkey poults to live.

Market Turkey poult pick up will be a drive through in the large animal show arena on the fairgrounds, April 16th from 5-6pm. Make sure you have your coop/brooder ready to go prior to picking them up. Message us with questions.

We are looking for some adult volunteers who would like to help us out with poultry activities, this spring and summer. No need to be available for all dates, But we want to make sure we are public with our invitation to help.
April 16 is market turkey pick up day.
June 18 is market chick pick up day.
July 7 and July 18th are Skillathon days
We would also appreciate any help setting up the barn (Typically, an evening or early morning about two weeks before the fair starts).
Monitoring the barn during the week of fair.
Cleaning up after the fair.

We will be hosting a Poultry Clinic at the Ross County Fairgrounds on January 7th at 6:00 p.m. Presenters Ruth Beery and Isaac Detty with cover topics such as bio-security, disease prevention, animal processing, and more. This clinic is for all 4-Hr’s who are interested in Poultry and is a great opportunity as we get started in the New Year! Ross county high schoolers! Apply for this awesome opportunity to serve your county on the JFB.

The fair has just wrapped up but this does not mean that we are not planning for next YEAR!

Apply at go.osu.edu/rcjfb

If you want to be on the Ross County JFB, fill out your application by Sept. 15. Newbies need two letters of recommendation.

Members must be 14 and a freshman and be enrolled in a Junior Fair Organization (4-H, FFA, Girl Scouts etc.) by application deadline.
