Congratulations, Carson McWhorter! 🎉

The Chillicothe Kiwanis Club was honored to present Carson McWhorter with a scholarship in recognition of his outstanding involvement and leadership through the Southeastern Key Club.

Carson was joined by his mother and Key Club Advisor, Jordyn Anderson, as he received this well-deserved award.

This fall, Carson will be attending The University of Rio Grande, where he plans to major in Education while continuing his passion for baseball as a member of the university’s team.

We are proud to support students who exemplify leadership, service, and dedication to their communities. Congratulations, Carson! We wish you the very best as you begin this exciting new chapter. ⚾📚🎓

The Chillicothe Kiwanis Club has a few more tickets for a chance to win a pair of Ohio State University 2026 Home Football tickets to all 7 games. A $5 ticket will get you in the pool, with $3 staying in Ross County to support our Chillicothe Kiwanis children's programs. Don't forget - this year includes a home Oregon game and That Team Up North!!!! The Kiwanis Club of Chillicothe enjoyed another great meeting this week!

We were honored to welcome Kelli Johnson, District Representative for Congressman David Taylor, as our guest speaker. Kelli shared updates and discussed ways she could assist if we have local issues or concerns.

We also had the privilege of officially welcoming our newest Kiwanis member, Leanna Crego! We are excited to have Leanna join our club and look forward to the talents, energy, and service she will bring as we continue our mission of improving the lives of children and strengthening our community.

Today we had the honor of welcoming Lieutenant Governor, Jay Hash, to speak with our Kiwanis Club!

Thank you for sharing your personal story, leadership journey, and inspiring ideas on how we can continue strengthening our mission of serving children and improving our community. Your passion for service and collaboration encouraged all of us to think bigger about the impact we can make together.

We had a wonderful time at our Kiwanis meeting today! A huge thank you to Jenni Lewis, Director of Area Agency on Aging Region 7, & her staff for taking the time to speak with our group. Your insight, knowledge, and passion for supporting aging individuals in our community truly made an impact.

We appreciate you helping us better understand the resources available. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us—we’re grateful for the connection and conversation!

Thank you to all of our Kiwanis members, friends, and family who volunteered to work Check Point #1 of the Buck Fifty Race this weekend. It was warm, but as always, we enjoyed visiting with the runners and volunteers, and supporting Drug Free Schools.
