We drew the numbers for Ohio State vs. Ball State and the board is set for Saturday, September 5th!

We are saddened to learn of the passing of John Leedom. John had been part of the First Capital Enterprises family since 2016, we will remember the many years and memories we shared with him. Our thoughts are with his family and loved ones. ❤️

But these pictures are about so much more than where we went. ❤️ They're about experiences. Friendships. Independence. Community inclusion. Trying new things. Making memories. And making sure the people we serve have opportunities to GO, DO, SEE & EXPERIENCE LIFE.

🍂 HELP US BUILD FCE FALL FEST! 🍂

We're getting ready for our first Fall Fest at First Capital Enterprises on October 13, and we need a little help turning our outdoor space into a fall wonderland! 🌾

We'll be welcoming Individuals and staff from other agencies throughout our community and inviting local nursing homes to join us for a day of food, games, laughter and some VERY friendly competition.

Before we start buying, we thought we'd ask our amazing community if anyone has items they'd be willing to donate!

We're currently looking for:

👖 Old jeans
👕 Long-sleeve shirts, flannels & sweatshirts
🧢 Old hats, scarves & accessories
🌾 Straw bales
🎃 Pumpkins & gourds
🌽 Corn stalks
🍂 Fall decorations
🌼 Mums

Clothing does NOT need to be nice! In fact, if you've been wondering what to do with those jeans nobody has worn since 2004... we have a scarecrow who would look fabulous in them.

Donated items will help us create our Build-a-Scarecrow Station, be part of some of the games, set-up at photo area and just help decorate the Fall Fest, it would make the day extra special for everyone attending. Unused Hay bales can be returned to those who provided them or donated elsewhere.

Items do not need to be retail-perfect—imperfect pumpkins, leftover corn stalks and similar items would be just as appreciated!

We sent this crew into the great outdoors today armed with a nature scavenger hunt, their own camera, and apparently album-cover-level confidence. 😎
They explored the trails, searched for everything on their list, got their feet in the creek, discovered some VERY photogenic bugs and mushrooms, and captured the adventure from their point of view. ❤️
Sometimes community outings are about where you go… and sometimes they’re about giving people the opportunity to explore, make choices, notice the little things, and have some fun along the way.
And judging by these pictures… they understood the assignment.

IT’S OFFICIAL — OUR NEW RECREATION AREA IS COMPLETE!

We’ve been watching it come together piece by piece, and we are SO excited to finally share the finished project at First Capital Enterprises!

Our brand-new Multi-Sport Court & Ball Diamond are ready for action!

🏀 Basketball
🏓 Pickleball
🥌 Shuffleboard
🥎 Softball
⚽ Kickball
…and most importantly, a whole lot of opportunities to move, play, learn, compete, socialize and HAVE FUN!

This project is about so much more than courts, turf and equipment. ❤️

It’s about creating more opportunities right here at First Capital for the individuals we serve — opportunities to try something new, build skills, stay active, work as a team, cheer each other on and make memories with friends.

And we have a feeling there may be a little friendly competition happening out there too. 😏🏆

We cannot wait to see these spaces FULL of people, laughter, games and memories.
