Tristan Miller Foundation

Tristan Miller Foundation Our mission is to raise awareness for su***de prevention, mental health, & emotional wellness. Play For 21 represents this foundation & our fundraising efforts.

Please join us in lifting others up, restoring faith&love for one another. We all Play For 21! The Tristan Miller Foundation was founded in 2017 by Tristan Nathanial Miller’s family. This foundation was created, first and foremost, to carry Tristan’s name and legacy of his love for music. We want to inspire others, all ages, to learn, listen and love music as Tristan did. As an avid musician, Tris

tan would want everyone to have an opportunity to integrate music in their every day. We plan to continue to provide and support various paths to accomplish this by way of music events, scholarships, and supporting music, drama, and arts programs for our area school systems. Tristan was also an athlete. Excelling at most sports that he tried, basketball was his sport. We will also support athletic departments and programs to enhance every child’s athletic experience. In addition, we are very passionate about raising awareness for Emotional Wellness, Mental Health and Su***de Prevention. We have a personal mission to elevate this topic to the forefront. Su***de is the tenth leading cause of death in the US and even more alarming, the second leading cause of death for 10-24 year-olds with white males accounting for upwards of 70% of the deaths across all ages. Our healthy minds are just as important as our healthy bodies. We need this to be a priority. Gone are the days where you “man up”. Today we begin to have courage and comfort in saying it out loud. It is okay to not be okay. Kindness is something that should not be taking for granted. We witnessed, but more importantly, heard repeatedly from many that what they will remember about Tristan is his kind demeanor and that he was always consistently nice to everyone. Something that you don’t hear a lot from kids of all ages. One of our favorite phrases is “If you can be Anything in this world, Be Kind”. And lastly, we are hopeful that we can influence others to find hope and know they are not alone. They matter. You are not alone. You can make a donation to the foundation here:

My heart is so so heavy today. As we lay to rest a beautiful young soul, today is also the anniversary of a dear friend and colleague leaving this world, the start of Tristan’s birthday month, and su***de prevention month. Don’t be afraid to talk about them. Say their names. We continue to lose this battle. We continue to see an increase in family and friends losing their way. We need to do more. But what?
Let’s encourage others to talk to Jesus. Let’s wrap our arms around them. Humans need touch, interaction, love, hope, encouragement. I will admit, I do.
I pray to our Heavenly Father to wrap his arms around all those hurting, soften the hearts of those judging, and provide kind thoughts and words for those speaking to and of others. I pray this prayer in Jesus name. Amen✝️😞

The hardest part of losing a child isn’t always the grief you feel. It’s the grief no one else can see.

People see the tears.

They see the anniversaries.

What they don’t see is the invisible weight bereaved parents carry every single day.

It’s waking up and remembering, before your feet even touch the floor, that your child is still gone.

It’s hearing their favorite song and feeling your chest tighten.

It’s wondering who they would be today.

It’s noticing someone their age and imagining the life they should have had.

It’s smiling through conversations while carrying an ache that never clocks out.

We learn to function.

We go to work.

We laugh.

We celebrate birthdays.

From the outside, it can look like we’ve learned to “move on.”

But the truth is, we’ve simply learned how to carry what never gets lighter.

If you’re exhausted, it isn’t because you’re failing.

It’s because you’ve spent another day carrying something most people will never have to carry.

And somehow, you’re still here.

🩷 Today, I’d love to honor the children who changed us forever.

If it feels right, whisper your child’s name in the comments. I’ll read every single one.
