A wonderful opportunity for area students!

The Hedrick Medical Center Foundation, in partnership with the Paris Family Foundation, is again offering a scholarship program for students pursuing nursing degrees. In 2026, two $2,500 scholarships will be awarded to support the next generation of nurses from rural communities. The deadline to apply is Friday, June 5.

This scholarship opportunity is open to students whose permanent address is in one of the following counties: Caldwell, Carroll, Chariton, Daviess, Grundy, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Putnam, or Sullivan.

To be eligible, students must:
– Be accepted into a nursing program,
– Have a permanent address in one of the 10 eligible counties,
– Submit a complete application, including two letters of reference.

During this season of gratefulness, we would like to say thank you to the members of Beta Zeta Sorority in Chillicothe for their long-time support of the HMC Oncology Nurse Navigator program. Their membership fills tote bags for our HMC oncology patients with items to make their journey through treatment more comfortable- and have done this for many years. We are so thankful for their thoughtfulness and their commitment to our oncology patients. Thank you, Beta Zeta!

Beautiful things coming to The Gardens at HMC in Spring 2026!

Today was a special day. The HMC Foundation was honored to design & sponsor this beautiful sculpture, as well as host the dedication of this HMC Employee Memorial in memory of our co-worker and friend Rebecca Kay Roof.

Thank you to HMC Foundation Board President Betty Preston Steele, and former HMC CFO Janet Buckman for their heartfelt words today. We are so grateful for the family, friends, and donors who attended to celebrate Becca's life and legacy for current and future HMC employees.
