Ross County Health District Levy The Ross County Health District Board of Health placed a renewal of the existing levy on the November 3, 2026 ballot.

The levy is for 1-mill which will not raise taxes. This page is managed by The Ross County Health District Tax Levy Committee.

RCHD will hold its *FREE* Drive Thru Rabies Vaccination Clinic on Saturday, September 19 from 2pm to 4pm at the Ross County Health District parking lot (across from our office located at 150 E. Second St, Chillicothe).🐱🐶

***Please note that this event is for cats and dogs only***

Vaccines are ***FREE*** and provided on a first come first serve basis. Vaccine quantity is limited.

Event rules are as follows:
• Dogs must be leashed/harnessed.
• Cats must be secured in a carrier.
• Veterinarians on-site reserve the right to deny pets due to health concerns.
• RCHD & veterinarians are not responsible for pets.

RCHD has partnered with Rural Action to provide Ross County residents with used medical equipment in acceptable condition.🦽🩼🦯

RCHD will also serve as a donation site, accepting clean medical equipment in satisfactory condition.

Acceptable items include: bandages/wound care, bedside commodes, boots/splints/braces, crutches/canes, incontinence briefs, medical beds, shower chairs, walkers/rollators, wheelchairs

***We will not accept any dirty, rusted or expired items, prescription drugs, or used medical waste like sharps.

Upon pickup you will be asked to sign a liability waiver.
