The Livingston County Ambulance District has an agreement with the City of Chillicothe for the Chillicothe Firefighters to provide care for our community, operating the Ambulance District's equipment. The firefighters are cross-trained as firefighters and EMT's and Paramedics. Currently, the department has 34 employees, with 27 Paramedics and 7 EMT's. This allows for a Paramedic to be on every call to provide advanced life support to our community. The district is financially responsible for 100% of the supplies and equipment to operate, and 50% of the expenses for the building.

To be able to continue to provide our community with the highest level of EMS care and services, the new sales tax model of revenue will help us maintain the level of are that the community expects and deserves.
