Ross County NAACP had a great Freedom Fund Scholarship Banquet this evening.

Rev, Anthony L. Carter of Quinn Chapel A.M.E. Church delivered the key note address & broke down what our theme “We the People” really means as well as what our responsibility is as the people.
He did an outstanding job!

Thank you to Rev Robbie Robinson Jr. for being our Master of ceremony, the banquet committee, the officers & members of our unit,the ladies of WIN, Quinn Chapel Choir for your wonderful selections, all program participants, everyone who came out to support the banquet and every contributor of the souvenir journal. You are appreciated.

Today is the last day to register to vote for the November 3, 2026 Election.

The Ross County Board of Elections is open until 9:00 PM this evening.

Early voting begins tomorrow October 6, 2026.

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of President Trump, allowing the federal government to use an error-prone citizenship-check database that could incorrectly flag some eligible voters as non-U.S. citizens. But this decision does not allow states to conduct mass voter roll purges before this year's midterm election.

States’ use of this so-called “SAVE” program is voluntary, and federal law blocks states from carrying out mass purges of the voter rolls within 90 days of an election.

The NAACP remains vigilant and ready to fight. Right now, the most important thing you can do is make sure your voter registration is active and up to date.

✅ Make sure your address is correct

✅ Make a plan to vote. Voting is underway in some states and ends on November 3rd

✅ Get your family and friends to do the same

Sign the form and mail it to the Ross County Board of Elections( 475 Western Ave., Chillicothe, OH 45601) or the Ohio Secretary of State's office.

🏛️ PFCC — Publicly Funded Child Care
🎟️ CCVP — Child Care Choice Voucher Program

💡 Were you denied PFCC—or told your income is too high?
You may still qualify for help paying for childcare through CCVP.

The Child Care Choice Voucher Program is designed for some working families whose income is above the PFCC limit but who still need help with the cost of childcare. Ask your caseworker specifically about CCVP, or contact Carver and we will help you understand what questions to ask. Ohio describes CCVP as assistance for families whose income is too high for PFCC but may still fall within the voucher program’s income range.
