We’re strongly considering renaming the rescue this year “3 blind kittens” with the number of eye issues we’ve had come in 😰😫🥺
Anyway……
We have lots of surgeries coming up if you are able to help sponsor one please! Any little bit helps, but most kittens will average $150-$300 per eye depending what vet’s office is able to get us in quickly 🙏

Also, are you looking for a slightly special needs baby?
We have several that are blind or visually impaired who are all looking for a home ASAP! ❤️

You know when you finally take your car to the mechanic and it won’t make the stupid concerning noise it made daily before that?
Well…….meet Sushi 😹🍣

She is the cat version of a possibly (not) malfunctioning car 🥴🚗

Her previous owner states she has never used the litterbox and even rehoming her has not helped this 😰
We’re 24 hours in and she hasn’t had a single accident yet and she has some really pretty p**p 💩 (if you’re in rescue, you’ll understand the hype behind good p**p! 😂🤣)

That said, Sushi gets checked out and fixed on Tuesday and will be available after that!

We will say, we believe her stressors are likely other cats and carpet and believe she would do best in a single pet home without access to carpeted rooms.

Do you know why that is?
Because you just can’t win. Rescues get ridiculed for EVERY👏 SINGLE👏 DECISION👏WE👏MAKE👏

And honestly it’s exhausting……
Fix her?
👉We’re bad people
Leave her unaltered?
👉We’re bad people
Receive 100+ applications for ONE CAT and not everyone is able to get a duplicate copy of her? Only ONE available for adoption???? 🤯
👉We’re bad people
Keep her adoption fee low?
👉We’re bad people
Raise her adoption fee to more breed specific standards?
👉We’re bad people

So - here’s how we’re handling this situation.
Sushi has litterbox issues that no one has been able to resolve.
We have a classroom full of veterinary assisting students that start next week and LOVE to take pictures and make social media content! 😻

SOOOOOOOOO……..

Sushi is going to be seen and fixed at our vet, then she’s going to stay for ONE WEEK at Pickaway Ross CTC for more evaluation, lots of pictures and cuddle time, then she will be available for adoption.

Her fee will be $500 and here’s why -
We’re going to have every bit of $300+ in vet fees for her just to get through an evaluation - assuming nothing is majorly wrong and she’s just a litterbox brat 😬🙄🤭

We also have hundreds of sick kitties needing medications and surgeries like eye removals and amputations that people don’t give a 2nd thought about donating towards.
So hopefully her fee and social media content will help offset some of those needs for our rescue 🙏🤞

We thought it just isn’t fair that summertime kittens miss out on all the Christmas fun 🥺 so please help us brighten their day by dropping donations off at Petland located at:
881 N Bridge St Chillicothe, OH 45601
Monday-Saturday 10 AM - 9 PM
Sunday 11 AM - 7 PM

Petland has some food and litter setup by the checkout for a quick grab, or you can also pickup many of our most needed items at any local store and leave them at Petland for us to easily grab (considering our whole town is under construction🚧😬 hopefully this dropoff location helps!🙏)
