Your children may eligible for no-cost vaccines through CDC's Vaccines for Children (VFC) Program.💉

RCHD's vaccine administration fee is $10 per vaccine ($30 maximum per family). No one is turned away for inability to pay the administration fee.

Our Public Health Nursing Clinic hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm and Friday from 8am to 12pm.

Have you heard about Alpha-gal syndrome?🤔

It is a condition often triggered by the bite of a lone star tick, leading to an allergy to red meat and other products derived from mammals.

With ongoing discussions about Ohio House Bill 578 and proposals to classify this as a reportable disease, we remain dedicated to ensuring our community is informed, supported, and engaged in the conversation.

We are looking for your feedback to help us better understand current experience, knowledge and how we can improve our local awareness and prevention efforts here in Ross County.

Alpha-gal is a sugar molecule found in most mammals such as cows, pigs, and sheep, but not in humans.

Alpha-gal syndrome (AGS) is a rare but potentially serious allergic condition linked to bites from the Lone Star tick.

AGS symptoms occur after eating red meat or exposure to other products made from animals.
