Thank you to all of you that plan on coming out to support this fight against lung cancer. Words can not express how much it means to me. Lung Cancer does not get the recognition that it deserves because of the smoking stigma that is attached to it and even if someone did smoke that doesn't mean they "deserved" to get cancer. It can happened to anyone! Smoker, non smoker, young or old and no one deserves it! I know if our small town mine and Luke's story is very uncommon, but I have met some amazing ladies that are walking in or have walked in my shoes. So in honor of Luke and the others have fought this battle or our fighting it now, join us. Lung cancer is the leading cancer killer, but the least funded. These are baby steps to a change, but at least it's a step in the right direction! Thank you all for your support!

For the 4th straight year, the National Shine a Light on Lung Cancer Vigil is the largest, coordinated awareness event for lung cancer.

Doesn't seem fair that the cancer that causes the most deaths is the least funded. Take a stand and stop the stigma. If you have lungs you can get lung cancer!

Couple of things I wanted to give you all an update on....if anyone would like to submit a picture for the video please let me know, so I can get an idea of how many we are going to have. Also I am thinking about getting t-shirt made with the Shine a Light Logo(thank you to the LCA for allowing me to do this) on the front and In Loving Memory of Luke Teaters on the back. I would like to have an idea of how many I would need before going to the print shop so we can get the best pricing. I am still working on finding a location for the Vigil and some other details. I have decided to try and do a video this year in honor and in memory of those touched by lung cancer. Today the LCA announced it's press release launching the National Shine a Light on Lung Cancer Vigils. Vigils like the one we hosted last year will take place on November 13th 2012 all across the nation. Please come join us this year and support our fight against lung cancer. In my lifetime I pray that we will be able to increase the survival rates for lung cancer and get it the funding that it deserves. I'm still working on all the details, but I do have somethings in mind for this year. When the time and place is decided on I will post so everyone can make arrangements to try to attend.
