Annual Watermelon Festival held the first Saturday in June: Free fresh sliced watermelon, live entertainment, plus numerous craft and food vendors to fill your day. Schedule of Events


5:30-8:00 AM Vendor Check In

7:00-9:00 AM Watermelon weigh in for the largest melon and largest melons group

8:00 AM Vendor Booths open

10:00 AM Performer - Middle Ground

10:00 AM Parade line up *new route

:00 PM Parade from Chiefland High School down US 19 to the festival site.

12:00 PM Watermelon Auction

12:45 PM Introduction of Royalty

1:00 PM Seed Spitting Contest

1:00 PM Performer - Middle Ground

We invite you to come enjoy sweet slice of local watermelon generously donated by local farmers. We’ll have plenty of vendors to shop, children’s activities and entertainment.

* Festival parking for a $3.00 fee.

Please take a look and share with all your parade participants. UNLESS you have been sent different instructions, this is where/when you line up tomorrow. There is parking across the street from the parade line up entry and in the parking lot in front of school. There is no parking inside line up area. The gates will be locked after parade begins.
