Know Your Rights Training
There is a training for staff and community members regarding knowing your immigration rights. It will be this Thursday, May 14 at 4:30 PM at the CHS Auditorium. Food will be provided.

Two days. Twelve delegates. More than 1,000 educators united in democracy.

Friday and Saturday, CEA delegates joined members from across Massachusetts at the Massachusetts Teachers Association Annual Meeting of Delegates in Boston to help shape the future of public education and our union. From debating important issues to voting on policies, leadership, and priorities for the year ahead, our delegates proudly represented Chicopee educators in one of the most important democratic processes of our union.

Thank you to our delegates for lending your voices, your time, and your commitment to students, educators, and public schools. ✊

May is here and we’ve got a busy month ahead! 🌷📚

🗓️ Check out our May calendar for upcoming events, meetings, and opportunities to stand together in support of public education.

💻 Our Monthly Board Meeting will be held on Zoom on Wednesday, May 6 at 3:30 PM. The link is available on the CEA calendar, and we encourage representation from every building!

📍 CEA delegates will also be attending the MTA Annual Meeting on May 8–9 to represent our members and participate in statewide union business.

✊ On May 1 at 4:30 PM, join local unions in solidarity with Holyoke educators as they continue fighting for a fair contract. Meet at the corner of Heritage & Dwight Streets at Holyoke Heritage State Park for the May Day march and rally.

🎉 And don’t forget — our End of the Year Retirement Party will be Friday, May 29 at 3 PM at the Chicopee Elks Lodge. We look forward to celebrating our retirees together!

Supporting Holyoke.

The Holyoke Teachers Association has been in contract negotiations for over a year and is currently working without a contract. It’s time to show up in solidarity.

Join the HTA rally and march on May 1 from 4:30–5:30pm, beginning at Heritage State Park (corner of Dwight and Heritage St.).
