Hello friends, neighbors, and partners.
We are writing to share an update on Latino Outdoors Western Massachusetts (LOWMA) - at the end of this month, our local chapter will be sunsetting. This was not an easy or light decision, and after much reflection we have decided that this is the best choice for us at this time.
With gratitude, we recall all you have helped us to accomplish and all the ways you supported our work. While LOWMA will no longer be offering outings or events, we will carry the mission and vision of Latino Outdoors with us in all that we do - and we invite you to do the same.
Together, here in Western Mass, we worked to elevate our community. In sharing quality education programming and experiences with you, our work together united people outdoors. Through you, LOWMA renewed our people’s connections to the land and the world around us. It has been a privilege and an honor to foster a community to ensure that our voices, experiences, and culture can be celebrated outdoors.
Please continue to follow Latino Outdoors for opportunities to participate in the movement and to keep celebrating cultura, amor y comunidad in the outdoors.
