Wheelin' With Cops Adventure A day long adventure to let the kids from Boys and Girls Club be exposed to off-roading with members of law enforcement and public safety.

Kids are bused to the mountains, provided a light breakfast. After a meet and greet they are paired with an officer and a 4 wheel drive vehicle then they take a fun wheeling adventure up to a fire lookout tower. After they get back they are fed lunch. Then the demonstrations begin.... Chico PD does a K9 demo and Police Mounted Unit (aka horse) demo, Cal Fire helicopter comes out and shows the kid

s a live rescue, Cal Fire brings up a couple of trucks and also give a demonstration. Smokey the bear is there passing on some safety tips, as well as Butte county search and rescue. The kids are then given a shirt, a picture, a back pack full of school supplies and a chance to win some great raffle prizes. Then they are loaded back on the bus and taken home. At the end of the day the volunteers are treated to a tri tip dinner.
