As we near the end of NeighborWorks Weeks, CHIP is honoring the power of community and the spaces that help families thrive long after disaster. During the 2018 Camp Fire, Paradise Community Village—a place many families called home—was destroyed, displacing over 80 residents.

But this community didn’t stay gone for long. In true Paradise spirit, it was rebuilt, and in 2021, residents returned home to a renewed 36-unit apartment community! Today, spaces like this community garden are a reflection of that resilience. Here, residents cultivate fresh food, relationships, wellness, and a sense of belonging. 🌿

🏡June is National Homeownership Month! It's a time to celebrate the pride, stability, and opportunity that come with having a place to call your own. At CHIP, we believe affordable homeownership is still possible, and we're proving it every day in Northern California.

Most recently, we celebrated the fourth group of homeowners completing their homes at Orland Park Estates and came together for a NeighborWorks Weeks event in Orland, CA. Families received their keys and gathered for lunch alongside neighbors, CHIP staff, and supporters, joined by USDA Rural Development California State Director Bryan Anguiano, Assemblymember James Gallagher, and Tasha Weaver, District Representative for Senator Megan Dahle. More photos to come soon!

Big impact starts with strong communities 💚
In 2025, NeighborWorks America and its network delivered:
🏡 $11.64 billion invested nationwide
🔑 17,600 new homeowners created
🛠️ 66,900 homes repaired
🏢 216,800 rental homes provided
📊 And $74 leveraged for every $1 in Congressional funding

This is NeighborWorks America in action—and CHIP is proud to be part of this national network working to create home and opportunity for all. When we invest in housing, we invest in people — and when people thrive, communities thrive.

🎉 to NeighborWorks Week 2025! 🎉
Last year, we brought together residents from La Vista Verde, Shotover Inn, Rancho De Soto, and Las Palmas Apartments for a day full of connection, creativity, and community 💚🏘️

From kids designing their dream homes to water balloon games, these are the moments that remind us what NeighborWorks Week is all about—coming together and celebrating the places we call home.

We also shared great food, refreshing aguas frescas, and a little extra fun with raffles and activities that brought neighbors closer together 🎟️🌮🥤

✨ Huge thanks to the community members and partners who made it all possible: Flor de Maiz, Level Up NorCal, and our incredible residents and Resident Services team who showed up, supported one another, and made the day unforgettable 🙌

As we get ready for this year’s NeighborWorks Week, we’re carrying forward these same moments of joy, connection, and community pride. Stay tuned—a celebration is on the way!🎉

✨ During NeighborWorks Weeks 2026, we’re celebrating the people and partnerships that make communities like Orland Park Estates possible. This national event highlights how affordable homeownership creates stability, builds financial strength, and brings neighbors together.

🏡 Did you know? Orland Park Estates is a 64-home self-help subdivision in Orland, CA, where families are working side-by-side to build their own homes—and their futures.

Through CHIP’s Self-Help Housing program:
🔨 Participants contribute labor to build their homes together
🔑 No down payment is required
🏠 Homes include 3-, 4-, and 5-bedroom options designed for growing families

For more than 50 years, CHIP has been creating opportunities for families across Northern California, and we’re proud to continue that work alongside our community, local leaders, and organizations like USDA Rural Development and NeighborWorks America.

Join us in celebrating a splash of community joy during NeighborWorks Weeks! 💦🌺
Marymead Park’s pool is officially open again after a recent update, and we couldn’t miss the chance to mark the moment with a festive luau BBQ alongside our Marysville residents. Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration so special, including our Resident Services Coordinator, Estevan.

Moments like these highlight what NeighborWorks Week is all about—bringing people together and strengthening the communities we call home. Here’s to many more memories at the pool this summer for this community! ☀️
