And our May meeting winner is…

Catalyst Domestic & Sexual Violence Services 💜🎉

We were incredibly proud to award our donations to Catalyst to fund go-bags for advocates and trauma-informed support and care to survivors of sexual assault in our community. Since the local R**e Crisis center lost funding in the past few years, Catalyst has done the important work of ensuring survivors have an advocate that is there for them and their healing, and we’re grateful for the very important work their team continues to do in Chico. A huge thank you to our other presenting nonprofit of the evening, the Friends of the Chico Community Ballet. We wish them the best of luck on creating their new full-length ballet and their continued work mentoring the dancers in Chico. You can also find the link to support them above. We were also happy to hear from our February meeting winner–the Veterans of America, Chapter 582 Butte County –and can’t wait to go out to their new farm for bbqs and veggie purchases!

It was a beautiful first meeting at our new meeting home, Chico Theater Company as well! Their bar and concessions were the cherry on top of a great meeting and we’re so thankful for their team for hosting us! We hope everyone enjoys a beautiful summer–see you all in August! ☀️

Hello, members and friends! In case you missed it, we officially have a NEW MEETING HOME at Chico Theater Company starting with our May 6th, 2026 meeting!

We are, and will continue to be SO grateful to our friends at for hosting us and Grayson of for making our meetings that much more fun🍷over the past year. Their generosity in supporting our group and volunteering their time will always be something we’re thankful for and we encourage your continued support of their businesses! We’ve truly enjoyed hosting our meetings at The Westport, but are excited to start a new chapter at Chico Theater Company going forward!

We kicked off 2026 with a packed house and presentations from three amazing nonprofits, and we were proud to award our donations to...

🎉 Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapter 582 Butte County! 🎉

They will use the funds to recreate their Veterans Vegetable and Community Garden on 1.5 acres of land in Chico to support Veterans with PTSD. The garden will allow veterans to begin growing foods that will in turn be donated to local veterans. The funds would be used for soil preparation, irrigation, starter plants and the ongoing water bill.

It was a tough choice and we are also so grateful to the amazing work that Work Training Center and Affiliated Programs and Center for Land-Based Learning are doing in our community--thank you both for also presenting!

It's almost that time again! Our first meeting of the year is next week and we're so excited to kick off the 2026 season of local giving! 🫶🏼

Join us at event space in Downtown Chico for an evening hearing from three amazing local nonprofits: Work Training Center and Affiliated Programs, Center for Land-Based Learning, Veterans of America, Chapter 582 Butte County, and an update from our November meeting winner: ! These meetings go to show that collective action can make a real impact and just 1 hour of your time and your $100 donation can do great things in our community!

Join us for social time at 6pm with drinks served by our friends and our meeting will run from 6:30-7:30pm. Come with your checkbook and an open mind and heart! See you all on Wednesday, February 4th!

We wanted to take a moment to share a heartfelt thank you to Richard M. Schulze and all the folks at the Richard M. Schulze Foundation for the incredible work they've done in the past few years providing matching grants for nonprofit efforts through more than 200 groups of women who care like ours!

Since November 2019, the Schulze Foundation has provided an $5,000 donation--in addition to our directed donations--to 22 local nonprofits doing great work in Chico--that's a whopping $110,000 donated directly to our nonprofit winners since we partnered with them! This $5K match has been a game-changer for our nonprofits over the past five years and for that, we are truly grateful.

Unfortunately, the Schulze Foundation is sunsetting their matching program to groups like ours, and while we'll definitely miss it and the impact these matches have had in our community, we can't help but feel grateful for the support through the past 5 years.

Nonetheless, we're SO excited to kick off another year of giving to the incredible nonprofits in our community again in 2026. See you all next week! 🤍

And our final meeting winner of 2025 is...

🎉 !! 🎉

After enjoying one of the most entertaining presentations we’ve seen thus far—with an impressive amount of wardrobe changes, we might add—we were proud to award our collective donations to them for at risk youth to have an opportunity to attend their prevention, diversion, and reentry programs through learning the skills of screen printing and business sales! Pedal Press hopes to help the youth in Chico build real-life skills to help them find their passions and future employment opportunities, all within a safe and supportive environment.

A huge thanks to Pedal Press, Wings of Eagles, and Friends of the Chico Animal Shelter for all the incredible work you do and for your great presentations. We’re proud to award our donations to NSPR’s efforts to create an in-depth reporting and awareness series about Domestic Violence prevalence in Butte County. Their goal is to equip the local general public with information and ways to recognize patterns of abuse and provide valuable resources and information for support. We’re grateful for their important efforts in our community!
