June is Immigrant Heritage Month 🌎✨
This month, we recognize the stories, cultures, resilience, and contributions of immigrants, refugees, first-generation families, children of immigrants, mixed-status families, international students, and communities shaped by migration.
Immigrant Heritage Month is a time to celebrate belonging, culture, family histories, and community while honoring the ways immigrant communities continue to shape our campuses, cities, and state.

At Chico State, we recognize that immigrant stories are part of our community too. Swipe to learn more about what Immigrant Heritage Month is, who it honors, why it matters, and how it connects to Chico.

You did it WildCats! 2025-2026 year is done and we are so proud of all you accomplished, overcame and completed!
Thank you to all that came into our center to hang, get a snack, talk to Jesse, CalFresh, Advising with Adrianna or even take a nap in between classes. Your presence supports our mission in ensuring all students feel respected, connected and affirmed and we couldn't have done it without you!

For our graduates, welcome to the CCLC Alumni Fam, we are proud of you and we hope to see you next year for our 20 year anniversary Fall 2027!

For returning students, we hope you have a great summer and can't wait to hear what you all did whether that was just catching up on sleep or exploring our beautiful spaces on this planet. Stay tuned for another year filled with great events, moments to connect and opportunities to grow and meet our new student staff for 2026-2027 AY.

This isn't goodbye, it's until we meet again.

Aparna has facilitated and hosted many of your favorite events such as Dinner with Elders, Visa Diaries Open Mic Event, APIDA Unity Celebration & Community Dinner, International Dinner & A Story, Women's History Month Aux Talks and creative activities.

Message from ProStaff: Thank you Aparna for all your support you gave to our events, student staff and admin support. This week we will highlight our graduating staff as they embark on new adventures!

Kim has been a staff in the CCLC since Fall 2023. She started as an Inclusion Coordinator then transitioned to a Cultural Programmer this year. Kim has facilitated and hosted many of your favorite events such as Posada, coordinating WOE events in March, Women's Dinner & A Story, Latinx Dinner & A Story, wine glass decorating, pumpking decorating, jewelry making crafting activities, TikTok videos and presenting to countless high school visits about our spaces.

Message from ProStaff: Kim has grown so much as a leader and was a great role model for our new staff this year. She oversaw our TikTok and made it fun for our students to engage. Her warm welcoming smile will be missed at the front desk but we know she has bigger and better things to accomplish in her life. Thank you for your dedication to the CCLC and we are so proud of your accomplishments. Welcome to the CCLC Alumni Fam!

This week we will highlight our graduating staff as they embark on new adventures!

Freddy has been with the CCLC since the Spring 2025. Freddy was hired on as an Inclusion Coordinator and transiton to a Cultural Programmer this year. Freddy has hosted and facilitated some of your favorite events such as Black Dinner & A Story, Release and Reset Open Mic, Back to the Bangers Karaoke, DJ'ed for Native American Aux Talks and presented to the AS Govenment Affairs Council.

Message from ProStaff: Freddy has grown more comfortable with public speaker and facilitation. He has learned how to plan events and supported many of his peers with their events. He is a little jokester and has great taste in music! We still have one more semester with him but it will be hard to replace him.
