In a few weeks, June 30th, Yosemite National Park will be celebrating its 150th anniversary from becoming a National Park. It was 150 years when President Lincoln signed the Yosemite Grant Act, a law that set aside core sections of what is now the park for protection and preservation for public use, in perpetuity. Please think about supporting this amazing group of students who will be installing 2 solar systems for low-income families during their Spring Break.

They will systems will provide the two families with $34,000 in savings over the systems' lifetime, while preventing roughly 140 tons of greenhouse gas emissions which equates to planting 3,300 trees.

This Friday, December 13 Ken Grossman, CEO and founder of Sierra Nevada Brewery will be speaking, focusing on his sustainable business practices and the green foundation of his business. This is a FREE event and will be taking place at the Sierra Nevada Brewery1075 East 20th Street at the Big Room Mezzanine at 4pm. This is a fantastic opportunity; you may ask him questions during a Q&A session after he speaks. He is a very busy individual and this is not an opportunity that comes around often.

Bring friends and have a good time :)
