We’re in full swing with lap siding, building skills through hands-on- installation.

🎓 Celebrating our first RISE graduates in Paradise! 🛠️
This week, we had the privilege of celebrating the graduation of our first RISE cohort in Paradise, and we couldn’t be more excited for these graduates and what comes next!
Through the RISE program, participants completed 80–160 hours of hands-on construction training with Valley Contractors Workforce Foundation, working alongside an NCCER-certified instructor and gaining real-world experience on active construction projects.
This program is truly a partnership, bringing together workforce development, education, hands-on training, and employment support to help participants build skills and create pathways into the construction industry.
Each graduate also received a tool kit to help them take the next step toward employment — leaving the program with new skills, documented training hours, industry experience, and tools in hand. 🔨🧰
A huge congratulations to our graduates! We are proud of the work you put in, proud to have been part of your journey, and excited to see where these new skills take you.
And a big thank you to all of the partners who make RISE possible. This is what workforce development looks like when a community works together. ❤️

We’ve been busy on Pleasant Lane!

Construction training is going smooth with our enthusiastic trainees! They are actively building skills, gaining hands on experience, and making great progress.

With the help from our construction trainer, they’re learning how to make structures watertight while setting doors and windows.

Our Pleasant Lane project is speeding along! She’s a beauty, isn’t she?

Huge shoutout to our friends at CED, who generously donated all of the electrical supplies for both our Maxwell and Pleasant Lane home builds.

Their support has saved the Foundation roughly $4,000 per project, allowing us to invest more resources into hands-on workforce training.

And just like that…. We have TRUSSES! Our trainees are learning one of the coolest parts of home construction - rolling and setting trusses.
Have you ever seen this phase? We all agree, it’s one of the most impressive.
Stay tuned and you’ll see what happens after these trusses are rolled and Pleasant is ready for its roof!

Had a great time last weekend supporting our friends at during ! Always one of our favorite events of the year, we love seeing so many ladies on site. As a special treat, Instructor Bill’s daughter, Lilah, joined the crew for the first time.
