BACK TO OUR ROOTS — WHAT AN INCREDIBLE DAY!

Our hearts are overflowing with joy and gratitude after today's Back to Our Roots Fundraising Luncheon! What an amazing day celebrating God's faithfulness and all that He continues to do through Agape Life Gardens!

Your generosity, love, and continued support of our ministry mean more than words can express. Thank you for believing in what God has called us to do and for standing alongside us as we continue changing lives. We love and appreciate you both so much!

We also want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to Refuge Church! Thank you for opening your doors, your church home, and your sanctuary to us so that we could host this special event. Your staff was absolutely amazing, and your hospitality, generosity, and willingness to welcome us with open arms were such a blessing. At The Vineyard, we're not interested in simply raising up men who know how to talk about Jesus. We want to raise up men who WALK with Jesus, reflect His character, and produce lasting fruit for the Kingdom of God.

✨🎓🌱🙌 A GREENHOUSE IS WHERE GROWTH BEGINS. 🙌🌱🎓✨

Today we got to celebrate Mitchell as he graduated from The Greenhouse — Agape Life Gardens’ 90-Day Peer Support Residency Program. 💚🙌🎉

And this moment means so much more than simply completing 90 days.

🌱 A greenhouse is where a seed gets its start.

It is a place where something small can be planted, protected, watered, nurtured, and strengthened until it is ready for what comes next. ☀️💧🌿

But a greenhouse was never meant to be the final destination.

There comes a time when the roots have gone deeper.
When the stem has grown stronger.
When the plant has been nurtured enough to be planted somewhere it can thrive, keep growing, and eventually bear fruit. 🌳🍎🔥

That is what today represents for Mitchell. 🙌💚

These 90 days were about more than completing a residency.

They were about taking root. 🌱
About allowing God to work in the hidden places. 🙏
About facing hard things instead of running from them. 💪
About accountability.
Discipleship.
Recovery.
Faith.
Growth. ✝️🔥

And now comes the next step. 👣

Not because the growing is finished…

but because growth was never supposed to stop at the greenhouse door. 🌱🚪🔥

Mitchell, our prayer is that what God has begun in you will continue to grow wherever He plants you next. 🙏💚

May your roots stay deep in Christ. ✝️
May you stand strong when the storms come. 🌧️🌳
May you keep reaching toward the Son. ☀️🙌
And may your life produce fruit that points others back to Jesus. 🍎✝️

😴🍞🚶‍♂️ BEFORE GOD GAVE ELIJAH A WORD, HE GAVE HIM A NAP AND A MEAL.

That matters.

In 1 Kings 19, Elijah was exhausted, discouraged, overwhelmed, and ready to quit.

And God’s first response was not correction.

It was care. ❤️

😴 Sleep.
🍞 Food.
💧 Water.
🚶‍♂️ Movement.
🙏 Then perspective.

The angel told him:

📖 “Arise and eat, because the journey is too great for you.” — 1 Kings 19:7

Sometimes the journey really is too great when the body is worn down.

At Agape Life Gardens, we believe recovery has to care for the whole person. 🌱

✝️ We pray.
📖 We study Scripture.
🤝 We counsel.
🙏 We disciple.

But we also teach the importance of:

😴 good sleep
🥗 healthy food
💧 hydration
🏃‍♂️ exercise
🌿 rest
🧠 healthy rhythms

Because physical exhaustion can make emotional and spiritual battles feel even heavier.

This week, we were blessed to spend time at Beckwith Lodge with International Gospel Outreach for an amazing retreat. 🌅🌿🙏

In this photo, our Executive Director and Lead Pastor, Ryan Lantaff, and his wife, Kathleen, are hearing a ministry update from Kevin Amacker, who serves as a financial counselor for the men of Agape Life Gardens.

Kevin is also an ordained minister through International Gospel Outreach’s Global Fellowship, and we are thankful for the wisdom and encouragement he brings to our men. 🙌

Elijah eventually made it to the cave.

He eventually heard the still small voice.

He eventually received fresh direction.

But first…

😴 he rested.
🍞 he ate.
🚶‍♂️ he got moving again.

Sometimes taking care of yourself is not a distraction from the spiritual journey.

🌱 Sometimes it is part of the spiritual journey.

🌱📖 11¼ HOURS OF THE WORD. EVERY. SINGLE. WEEK. 📖🌱

Every weekday morning at Agape Life Gardens, the men in our 90 Day Peer Support Residency take part in three 45-minute Bible classes.

That’s 135 minutes every morning.
That’s 11¼ hours every week.
That’s more than 11 hours of Scripture, truth, discipleship, and Gospel-centered teaching being poured into these men every single week.

And we believe the timing matters.

Many of the men who walk through our doors come out of years of addiction, broken decisions, damaged relationships, disappointment, and pain.

The ground of their lives has been broken up.

🌱 AND BROKEN GROUND IS READY FOR SEED.

So every morning, we sow.

📖 The Word of God
✝️ The Gospel of Jesus Christ
🙏 Truth and prayer
🌱 Hope for a new life
🔥 Identity in Christ
🤝 Wisdom for living differently

These classes are taught by preachers and teachers from multiple local churches who faithfully give their time to come alongside these men and open the Scriptures with them.

Different churches.
Different backgrounds.
One mission.

🔥 LIFT UP JESUS. SOW THE WORD. TRUST GOD FOR THE GROWTH.

We cannot force a seed to grow.

We cannot manufacture transformation.

But we can faithfully sow the Word of God into hearts that are being softened, humbled, and rebuilt — and trust the Lord to do what only He can do.

At Agape Life Gardens, recovery is about more than leaving an old lifestyle behind.

It is about giving men the opportunity to become rooted in truth, grounded in Christ, and equipped to walk in a completely new life.

🌱 THE GROUND HAS BEEN BROKEN.
📖 THE SEED IS BEING SOWN.
🙏 AND WE’RE TRUSTING GOD FOR THE HARVEST.

🚨🔥 WE CAN’T POUR INTO MEN IF WE AREN’T BEING POURED INTO OURSELVES. 🔥🚨

That’s why leadership at Agape Life Gardens starts with discipleship.

Every Tuesday morning at 6:00 a.m., our Executive Associate Director Matthew Murray, along with several leaders from The Greenhouse — our 90 Day Peer Support Residency, attends Bible study at International Gospel Outreach.

Before the counseling.
Before the meetings.
Before the decisions.
Before the needs of the day start pulling in every direction…

📖 WE GET IN THE WORD.

Because titles don’t make leaders.

🔥 Teachable hearts do.
🙏 Prayer does.
📖 Scripture does.
🤝 Accountability does.
🌱 Consistent growth does.

We never want to become so busy helping other men grow that we stop growing ourselves.

We never want to become so focused on pouring out that we forget where the filling comes from.

And we never want leadership to mean, “I’ve arrived.”

Leadership should mean:

I’m still learning.
I’m still being challenged.
I’m still being discipled.
I’m still dependent on Jesus.

📖 “As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.” — Proverbs 27:17

The men we serve deserve leaders who are spiritually healthy, grounded, accountable, and continually growing.

So before we pour into them…

🔥 WE MAKE SURE SOMEONE IS POURING INTO US.

That’s how strong leadership is built.
That’s how disciples make disciples.
And that’s how we keep Jesus at the center of everything we do. ✝️💚🌱

🚨🔥 YOUR STORY IS NOT OVER. 🔥🚨

Addiction may have written a chapter...

But it does NOT get to write the ending. 🙌✝️

At Agape Life Gardens, we see men walk through the door carrying regret, broken relationships, fear, shame, and years of bad decisions.

Then God starts working. 💚🌱

📖 Truth replaces lies.
🙏 Prayer replaces panic.
🤝 Brotherhood replaces isolation.
🧱 Discipline replaces chaos.
✝️ Jesus replaces hopelessness with PURPOSE.

And little by little...

🔥 chains start breaking
🌱 faith starts growing
💪 men start standing again
❤️ families begin seeing hope
🙌 lives begin changing

This is why we do what we do.

Not just to help a man survive another day...

But to help him discover that Jesus Christ can give him a completely new life. ✝️🔥

💥 HE STILL SAVES.
💥 HE STILL RESTORES.
💥 HE STILL REDEEMS.
💥 HE STILL MAKES ALL THINGS NEW.

🌱 One day at a time.
