This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States military. Since 1926, the AHEPA Supreme President has laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery each year. Also, since 1949, members of the AHEPA family have laid wreaths on over 700 gravesites of those Greek American or Greek Orthodox who are buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

We are excited to once again partner with the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago on Project HOPE. This year, all food packages assembled will be donated towards the students and families in the West40 school districts.

Your heart-felt monetary donation of $40 will help to fill one bag and to provide a family-in-need meals for a week, giving them nutritious, shelf stable (non-perishable) meal supplies. Donations are being accepted through April 30 and can be made online at www.ahepachicago.org.

We continue to look back at the 2025 Hellenic History Tournament held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church in Lincolnshire, IL. A record fifty-seven students competed on 19 teams to test their knowledge of Hellenic History, compete for $12,000 in prize monies, and for the title of Hellenic champions.

🏆 In the end, team “Socratic Circle” defeated team “Byzantine Eagles” in an exciting final match. Teams “Spartans” and “St. Athanasios Champions” were the other two teams that advanced to the semifinals.

A special thank you to the , which awarded AHEPA Chicago Lakeshore Chapter 205 a Grant in support of the Hellenic History Tournament including an increase in prize money to the teams.
