Join us for one of our upcoming Summer Events. Meet us on Monday, July 20 at Wrigley Field for Chicago Cubs Greek. On July 21 and August 23 join us for our Back-to-School backpacking events as we pack 1,200 backpacks for underprivileged kids throughout Chicagoland. At the end of July, be part of AHEPA Supreme Convention in Philadelphia celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the United States.

Join AHEPA Chapter 205 in making an impact this upcoming school year through our annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive. Each child receives a brand-new backpack filled with all the necessary school supplies.

This year, thanks to the generous donation of the Hellenic Foundation of Chicago, all donations will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to 600 backpacks, for a total goal of 1,200 backpacks. Backpacks cost $35/student to purchase and assemble and donations can be made online at www.ahepachicago.org. Deadline to donate funds is August 31st. Let’s help get the kids off to a great start this school year!

The members of AHEPA Chicago Lakeshore Chapter 205 would like to wish you and your families a Happy Independence Day, on this momentous, 250th Anniversary of the United States of America’s Declaration of Independence. As we celebrate, let’s take a moment to reflect on the founding of the United States and remember those that have served and protected the ideals of democracy, Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Greek Night at the Chicago Cubs! Join AHEPA 205 at the Chicago Cubs on Monday, July 20. Game time is 7:05PM as the Chicago Cubs take on the Detroit Tigers. Tickets are $75/person, located on the main level (infield terrace reserved), and include a limited-edition Hellenic-themed Chicago Cubs jersey.

Join us for one of our upcoming June Events. Meet us on Sunday, June 7 at Fullersburg Woods for a AHEPA-DOP Friends and Family Day at the Park. On June 11, join us for Hellenic Heritage Night at the White Sox. At the end of June, be part of the first Midwest Regional Convention brining together members of the AHEPA Family from throughout the Midwest.

SAVE THE DATE for the 2026 Hellenic History Educational Tournament, which will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Ascension of Our Lord Greek Orthodox Church Lincolnshire. This year we will be awarding a record of over $20k in prize monies. The tournament is open to students in grades 8-12. Registration opens August 2026.

AHEPA-DOP FRIENDS & FAMILY DAY AT THE PARK - Kickoff summer by joining AHEPA 205 and DOP 441 members for a Friends and Family Day at the Park event on Sunday, June 7. The event will be held at the Fullersburg Woods Nature Center.

The event is open to all members, their families and friends. There will be food, activities, sports, tavli, and more!

Join AHEPA 205 for an outing to White Sox Hellenic Heritage Night on Thursday, June 11 @ 6:40PM. The White Sox will be playing the MLB leading Atlanta Braves. Each ticket includes a limited edition “Hellas” White Sox jersey. Single tickets and patio pass options available.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving in the United States military. Since 1926, the AHEPA Supreme President has laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery each year. Also, since 1949, members of the AHEPA family have laid wreaths on over 700 gravesites of those Greek American or Greek Orthodox who are buried at Arlington National Cemetery.
