“Forever young” by Artist was first featured at 2016 Soular System and then reintroduced for a 2017 live painting session at where it was gifted to us by the artist himself! Now, a permanent collection piece with us being showcased at “The Bridge” Art Exhibition 9 years later. ❤️

“The idea for this piece was inspired by my daughter. As a younger child she would be in the studio with me and like any other kid she wanted to participate. Therefore I would let her experiment, I gave her the freedom to “decorate” items around the studio ie. tabletops , other furniture canvas, paper, walls etc... The innocent style of a childs drawing is very honest, raw and pure.
For this piece, the center image is a rendition of a litte girl freely creating her own little world.
I found some old drawings she did when she was younger and recreated elements on the wall, in order to attempt and achieve that unrefind quality I found myself drawing them with my non-dominant hand. I also let my daughter herself put some images on the wall, which gave me the idea to make the piece interactive since we all have the inner child in us. In the traditional world we are told NOT to touch the artwork, let alone draw on it. When I was handing out crayons and letting people tag or draw on the piece their reaction was as if they were committing a crime, which is a natural reaction. But in the end I believe it gave them that feeling of pride to be part of the piece and I remember getting the same reaction from her my daughter.”- EA
