Latinos Progresando is thrilled to welcome Gina Reynolds, Esq. as our new Chief Immigration & Advocacy Officer! Gina brings more than 20 years of immigration law experience, including four years as an Immigration Judge with the U.S. Department of Justice at the Chicago Immigration Court, and approximately 14 years as a partner and managing attorney at Hernandez & Reynolds LLC.
Her extensive experience spans family-based immigration, removal defense, asylum, citizenship, immigration consequences of criminal convictions, and humanitarian immigration matters. Throughout her career, she has been deeply committed to serving immigrant communities, including extensive pro bono work. In 2022, she received the American Immigration Lawyers Association’s (AILA) Pro Bono Champion Award for her contributions, including her work as Co-Chair of the AILA/CVLS Pro Bono Immigration Clinic.
Aside from the law, Gina is also a certified yoga teacher and has a particular interest in trauma-informed practice. She has taught trauma-informed yoga in teacher-training programs and previously volunteered as a yoga instructor at the Cook County Jail.
We are excited to have Gina bring her depth of legal expertise, and advocacy experience to our growing organization.
