Hey sis, come sit with me for a moment.

If you've been following along with our conversations about the Proverbs 31 woman, who she really is, what she was really building, and why she has been so misunderstood…

Then I know some of you have been quietly asking the same question in your heart:

“How do I become a Proverbs 31 Woman?”

And I want you to know that question is already a sign of something good happening in you.

You only have to start in the small quiet places only you and God can see.

1. Start your day with God before you start it with anything else.

This is the root of everything and it has to come first. The Proverbs 31 woman rises while it is still dark.

Before the world gets access to your mind in the morning, before you grab your phone, give God the first moment. It could be 10 minutes. A passage of scripture and a short honest prayer.

2. Start taking your finances seriously.

The Proverbs 31 woman was financially engaged and the Bible doesn't shy away from that.

She considered a field and she bought it. She assessed whether her trading was profitable. She managed resources with wisdom and care.

📌Start by sitting down and writing out what comes in and what goes out each month.

📌Open a savings account if you don't have one and start contributing to it, even with a small amount.

📌Read one book or listen to one podcast about managing money as a Christian woman.

3. Take care of your body.

Verse 17 tells us she set about her work vigorously and her arms were strong for her tasks. This was not about looking a certain way. It was about being strong enough for the life she was called to live.

Drink more water. Rest properly. Pay attention to what you eat.

4. Develop a skill.

The Proverbs 31 woman was a maker. A creator. A woman who brought things into existence with her hands and her mind.

She had something to offer beyond her presence. She had craft, capability, and industry.

What is the thing you are developing right now? What skill are you growing?

5. Choose your words with more intention.

She opens her mouth with wisdom and on her tongue is faithful instruction.

Pay attention to how you speak about yourself. Are your words over your own life kind, faithful, and full of hope? Or have you slipped into a habit of self-deprecation and doubt?

Pay attention to how you speak about others. In the group chats, in casual conversations, in moments of frustration, are your words building or tearing down?

James 3:10 says that out of the same mouth come praise and cursing and it ought not to be so. Ask God to help you with your words.

Pick one thing from this lis and practice it this week with sincerity and come back for the next one.

You are already on your way, sis. Keep going. 🤍

Which one are you starting with? I'm in your corner. 👇

Can we talk about the Proverbs 31 woman for a second?

Because I feel like she gets misrepresented a lot.

She has been misunderstood and held over women's heads in church, relationship conversations, and even social media.

But when you actually sit with the text? She's not what most people think she is.

So who is the Proverbs 31 woman?

📌 She is not a single woman trying to be perfect before she gets married. She's not a quiet, background figure waiting to be chosen.

She is a woman of valor. The Hebrew word used is eshet chayil, which literally translates to "woman of strength" or "capable woman."

📌 She's a businesswoman. She buys land. She plants a vineyard. She trades. She rises early, not because she's performing for anyone, but because she's intentional about her life.

📌 She provides for her household, yes but she also has her own income, her own ventures, her own authority.

📌 She clothes herself in strength and dignity. She is not afraid of the future. Her confidence doesn't come from how she looks or who approves of her. It comes from her character and her fear of God.

Some women, particularly younger women, have seen this passage as a weapon and rejected it entirely.

Proverbs 31 is not saying, do all of this today. It is saying, this is who she is.

This is the life she built. And it is worth honouring.

That woman was building her life. Not performing a single day.

Think about the women you admire most. The ones who are grounded, generous, accomplished, and faithful.

Did they become successful overnight?
Did they wake up one morning and suddenly have a thriving business, a peaceful home, deep wisdom, and strong character?

They built it slowly, season by season.

The Proverbs 31 Woman was never meant to silence women or keep them small.

A woman who buys land, runs a business, trades in the marketplace, and speaks wisdom is not a woman being controlled.

She is a woman operating in her full God-given capacity.

🙋‍♀️ The woman who tells you the truth even when it’s uncomfortable

You need a friend who doesn’t always agree with you. The one who can lovingly call you out of misalignment.

🙋‍♀️The woman who intercedes for you.

You need a friend who truly takes your name before God and covers you spiritually.

🙋‍♀️The woman who challenges you.

Her life is not perfect but she challenges you to build with God.

🙋‍♀️The woman you can be honest with.

She accepts you the way you are.You can open up to her and not feel judged.

🙋‍♀️The woman who reminds you of who you are in Christ.

When you overthink and lose sight of who you are, she brings you back to truth.

If you don’t have these women around you, it’s time to be intentional about your circle.

But if you do, tag them below and appreciate them.

This is a conversation no one taught women to have.

Before you were ever called wife..

Before you were ever in a relationship, God already gave you an identity.

You were created to be strong, grounded and whole.

And when you understand that, everything changes.

If you’ve been trying to find yourself, you need to start with God.
