Chicago Baha'i Community "Be generous in prosperity, and thankful in adversity. Be worthy of the trust of thy neighbor, and look upon him with a bright and friendly face."

The Bahá’ís are members of a global community that believes in one loving Creator, one unfolding religion and one human family. The Bahá’í Faith is the youngest of the world’s independent religions. Bahá’ís believe that there is one loving, all-powerful and unknowable divine Source for the world’s great religions, and that all humanity is one family. Across the globe, Bahá’ís and their friends and neighbors are putting Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings into action through the Core Activities. These collaborative grassroots efforts focus on empowering individuals of all ages and backgrounds to recognize and develop their spiritual capacities. Through an educational process characterized by service, reflection and consultation, participants in Core Activities channel their collective energies towards building networks of friendship and mutual support on their block, neighborhood, village and beyond. http://www.bahai.org
