Our 8th graders and Kindergarten graduates are ready for their next steps in their educational journeys.
From first days to new beginnings, this week we celebrate growth, achievement, and the bright future ahead for our school community at Goudy Technology Academy.
We invite our families and community members to stay connected and continue supporting our students by joining the Friends of Goudy group.

Last week we saw the power of community in action. Local artist and Goudy parent, Erik Peterson, led a library session to present his illustrated book to a room full of students. The energy, curiosity, and excitement from the kids reminded us how impactful these moments can be.

Experiences like this go beyond storytelling. They inspire literacy, creativity, and confidence while showing students that authors, ideas, and imagination are all within their reach.
Parent-led initiatives like this are not just “nice to have,” they are essential. When families bring their talents and passions into schools, they help build richer learning environments and stronger connections between students, educators, and the broader community.

Let’s continue to create space for more moments like this in our beautiful Goudy Technology Academy school library where reading comes alive and every child feels inspired to learn, create, and dream.

We are so grateful to Haibayô and Qideas for bringing the Fest to life! It was such a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and connection, and we were honored to be part of it with our native seed planting activity. 🌱

Thank you for creating a space where neighbors, families, and organizations could come together, share stories, and uplift one another. Events like this truly reflect the strength and beauty of our community. We loved meeting so many wonderful people and are inspired by the energy and collaboration that filled the day. Looking forward to many more moments like this together!

We are incredibly proud of the amazing cast, crew, and rock band of “Shrek The Musical” for putting on such a fun and unforgettable school production. Seeing our students bring Far Far Away to life was pure magic! 🪄✨

Thank you to our amazing community members whose generosity helped fund the props and costumes—your support truly makes these moments possible.

A special shoutout to our FOG President, Heather, for sewing so many of the costumes! Your talent and dedication helped bring the characters to life.

And bravo to Goudy Technology Academy teachers Ms. Gallagher, Ms. Fattelah, Ms. Rodda, and Mr. Sviokla for creating such a fantastic show! 👏 🙌

We are so grateful to everyone who made our Volunteer Appreciation event at Haibayô such a meaningful and joyful gathering. 💛

A heartfelt thank you to the Friends of Goudy volunteers for your continued support and dedication, to the incredible Goudy Technology Academy staff who uplift our community every day, and to the parents who show up with such generosity and care (and delicious food!). And of course, a VERY special thank you to our amazing Safety Patrol volunteers—your commitment, responsibility, and kindness make a real difference in the lives of so many.

This event was a beautiful reminder of what we can achieve together. It’s the spirit of community, collaboration, and appreciation that makes Goudy so special. We heard that in the wonderful stories of all our volunteers and community members this weekend. We’re proud to celebrate each and every one of you. Thank you for all that you do!

The Friends of Goudy were proud to celebrate by treating our incredible teachers and staff at Goudy Technology Academy to a pastries and coffee cart! ☕🥐

Huge thanks to La Patisserie P for the delicious pastries, Starbucks (Broadway & Foster) for the hot coffee, and The Lost Hour Coffee Shop for the fresh tea and lemonade. We are so grateful for your generosity and support! This special treat was made possible by our amazing parent volunteers: Heather, Jackie, and Françoise.
