“What should we do then?” the crowd asked.

John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.”

In eastern DR Congo, communities already navigating conflict and displacement are now facing the added threat of Ebola. Local organizations and leaders are carrying the weight of response efforts in an incredibly difficult humanitarian context.

AGIR-RDC, our trusted partner in DR Congo, is preparing prevention trainings, public health education, hygiene supply distribution, and community outreach efforts to help slow the spread of the virus and care for vulnerable neighbors.

Join us in praying for strength, protection, wisdom, and healing for all those affected.

“I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow… What’s important is that God makes the seed grow… For we are both God’s workers. And you are God’s field. You are God’s building.” - 1 Corinthians 3:6-9

🕊️ In 1976, Kommaly Chanthavong gathered ten women displaced by war to preserve the art of traditional Lao silk weaving in Laos. What began with a few looms and a vision has grown into Mulberries Lao Sericulture, now supporting more than 3,000 farmers, weavers, and artisans across the country through organic silk farming, natural dyes, and cultural preservation. 🧵🌿

Kommaly was part of the collective Nobel Peace Prize nomination recognizing 1,000 women peacebuilders worldwide and received the Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2015. ✨

🏕️ On the Greek islands of Lesvos and Samos, refugees and asylum seekers from Afghanistan, Yemen, Sudan, Eritrea, Somalia, and 60+ ethnic groups are rebuilding community and purpose together through the Resident Volunteer Program of Eurorelief Hellas.

Refugees living in these camps are not just recipients of aid; they are also interpreters, mentors, tailors, teachers, hosts, and community leaders for their neighbors.

“Through contribution, individuals become more than recipients of charity and become a key part of the support for themselves, their families, and their neighbours.” 🕊️

🌱 In Rahbe, Lebanon, sustainable agriculture helps communities build resilience, strengthen food security, and create new opportunities for the future.

Through our partner, Middle East Revive and Thrive (MERATH), vulnerable Lebanese and Syrian families are receiving fresh produce while local farming initiatives create jobs, support livelihoods, and strengthen the local economy. From vegetable cultivation to dairy production, this project is combining practical support with long-term sustainability and community care. 🐄🥬
