Pipes & Drums of the Chicago Police Department We answer the call. We never forget. We are the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department - Honor Guard.

Founded in 1999, the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police Department is fraternal organization focused on fostering the traditions and respect garnered through playing the great highland bagpipe and Scottish drum. Our mission is simple: to always be in service to our comrades, their families and friends in their time of need. We have been privileged to participate in honors ceremonies of our own fallen heroes as well as Peace Officers and Firefighters across our Nation.

We would like to say a big THANK YOU to Chief Gordon Nord and the Lyons Fire Department, the McCook Fire Department, and the Lagrange Park Fire Department for being there and supporting our bowling fundraiser so our band and the Pipes and Drums of the Chicago Police can go to New York for the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Your generosity is greatly appreciated. You are all a class act!

In June 2024, the Pipes & Drums of the Chicago Police Department along with (Chicago Fire Department Pipes and Drums) had the extraordinary honor of traveling to France to join in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of D-Day.

Marching through the streets of France, standing among the hallowed grounds of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and joining musicians from around the world was an experience that will stay with us forever.

It was our privilege to represent the City of Chicago and the Chicago Police Department while paying tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and enduring legacy of the Greatest Generation.

May we always remember those who fought for freedom and ensure their stories are never forgotten.
