We are thrilled to share the launch of a new initiative, the Nancy Friesen Student Teaching Scholarship Fund. This fund will provide critical financial support to student teachers with demonstrated need, enabling them to join our program and complete their teaching practicum in Chicago's diverse urban setting. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to make this fund a reality and support future educators.
Our program transforms student teachers into competent educators and thoughtful urban citizens. Participants immerse themselves in Chicago’s diverse communities and engage with students from varied cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds. This invaluable experience fosters deep critical thinking and reflection, preparing them to make a meaningful impact as educators and community members.
