Pastor Larita Rice-Barnes ( Larita Rice-Barnes )  a SAFE Illinois partner in the fight against gun violence and one of the most effective organizations in the state at addressing root causes, and her organization, the Metro East Organizing Coalition, are serious about supporting students in their community who are returning to school this week. Far too many students in the East St Louis area are returning to school while carrying the burden of having been impacted by gun violence. Please take a few minutes to learn more about MEOC- Metro East Organizing Coalition  and how they are supporting kids in their community.
