✨Meet the Board ✨
We’re excited to kick off a new series spotlighting the amazing members of our Associate Board! First up is our outgoing President, Kendall, who wrapped up her two-year term last month. We’re so grateful for her leadership, dedication, and everything she’s done for the board. Join us in celebrating Kendall and all of her contributions!
🏥 What do you do professionally?
I am a Pediatric Medical Social Worker!
❤️ Why did you join the Associate Board?
I joined the Associate Board in 2020 when I was looking to expand my professional network and support public health initiatives at a Mezzo-level following grad school.
🌟 What is your favorite HFCC event or initiative?
My favorite event is the annual Advocacy Panel. It’s when we highlight the wonderful initiatives at Cook County and partner organizations. We’ve done topics such as Migrant Health, Mental Health services post-Covid, and Women’s Health. It’s also when we host our Silent Auction!
🙌 What has been the most rewarding part of serving on the board?
The most rewarding part has been educating people on public hospitals and the unique role CCHS has played in our community for over 180 years. It’s got such great history that more people should know about.
🍽️ Favorite Chicago restaurant?
This is tough! Cafe Colao and any Four Star Restaurant group option because of the Wrightwood Salad. It’s perfect.
Our Associate Board is made up of passionate young professionals dedicated to increasing awareness and raising funds for programs and services that improve the health and wellness of the communities served by Cook County Health. Through fundraising, advocacy, and community engagement, board members help advance the mission of Cook County Health while making a meaningful impact across Chicago and beyond.
