Thank YOU ComEd!

between the first storm July 27 and the second storm this past Tuesday, its 20 days, and we were without power for a total between both for 11 days. Our area got hit HARD not once, but twice!

And both times, the crew was awesome! They swept in and got us up and running lickety split quick and worked around alot of downed trees too.

I wanted to hug every single worker out here.

Lisa + her grand daughter Hazel, took Esperanza for her vetting day. Essie She needed her boosters and rabies. Our special pup gained 2 pounds and is doing well. Hazel is a great foster, not only does she love dogs and cats, she prepares our guinea pigs and rabbits for their new homes too!

Big thanks to Dr Vandermyde for her great care of our girl.

Hare-y Potter got to see Dr G too. No surprise, he has ear mites as well as fur mites (which he was already given revolution). His skin is thick due to that diatomaceous earth being used. He needs a tooth trim too as his mouth has puss coming from his lower left jaw- hoping a round of doxy will do the trick, she cleaned his scent glad as that was full and gave him first vax.

These health issues are a result of poor husbandry by his prior owner, yet, he is very sweet.

He is also circling, honking and hu***ng behavior indicative of a male who needs nueter.

Thanks Dr G! We are so grateful for your amazing care of our crew.

Precious Clover is holding her own. ❤️

Dr. G is going to trim her bad teeth so we can see how they grow back in and address then. She will flush her eye duct as it is weeping, and shave some more of her overgrown coat.

Little Stevie was spayed today and doing great with her foster mom, Sue. Here she is once home, already eating greens. Best news is she already has an adopter! Thank you Sue, for preparing this sweetheart for her next chapter.

Its been a busy veterinary day for MDF'S buns!

Nemo had a follow up appointment for the lump on his face. It was believed to be a dental abscess, and, unfortunately it isn't. This nasty mass had cancerous cells when aspirated. Thankfully, his chest xray was clear. Dr. G ran bloodwork and once that comes back, nest step is to have it removed and sent out for histopath. Nemo is of good spirits, eating well, and gaining weight. BIG thanks to his foster Caren, for taking such great care of him.
