our friends at DuPage County Animal Services are at capacity - including 87 SMALL ANIMALS. Small animals are abandoned and surrendered as much as dogs and cats are. Their husbandry requires more and their veterinary care is more expensive. If you are considering adding a small animal to your family, please consider DuPage in addition to us here at Moon Dog, Anti Cruelty, or any of the amazing small animal rescues in the Chicagoland area. If you need any help, reach out, we are always happy to help.

A small animal adopted by any rescue or shelter is one for the whole of us who help them. not sure? foster!

Stormy was able to see Dr Brown today too. Good news is she gained weight and her lady bun parts have cleared up as they were swollen due to her prior husbandry and poor diet.

Please keep good thoughts, she has the symptoms of a thymoma (our Juliet and Ford do as well). Thymoma are tumors in their chest. Stormy will be getting xrays very soon.

Thank you Macy for your excellent care.

Here's an update on kewpie dolly Sweet Pea.
She is one of the most incredible dogs we have fostered. What a gem. Thank you again Trio Animal Foundation for saying YES to her!

Sweetpea is checking in to say hello! She continues to get a medicated bath 3 days a week and is on pain medication. Sweetpea decided to add another challenge and went into heat this week. Bless her foster mom Jill for doing laundry nonstop to keep up with Sweetpea's bedding and shirts. We so appreciate you Jill! The Moon Dog Farm
