About Resilient Road

Hello, and welcome to my page! Below is some brief insight to my story:

My name is Amy, and I am a cancer survivor. I was diagnosed with Stage IV T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma/Leukemia on May 23, 2018. I was treated at Rush University Medical Center for a month of chemotherapy and other treatment protocols in an attempt to put my cancer into remission. However, given the genetic complexity and high risk features of my disease, an allogeneic stem cell transplant was recommended as my best chance for long term survival. Thankfully, my hero and younger brother was a full donor match and I received a life saving stem cell transplant on August 28, 2018 following high dose chemotherapy and radiation. I spent a lot of time hospitalized and in the cancer clinic while fighting my disease and currently as I recover while my new immune system continues to mature. I am beyond grateful for the support of family and friends, nurses, and fellow patients who have collectively provided such wonderful care, encouragement, and inspiration throughout my journey. I want nothing more than to spread a little joy and comfort to all who are courageously battling cancer. That said, it is my mission to support all who are facing cancer--patients, families, and care professionals. Whether it is a catered meal, a comfort gift bag, or a shared experience where we can connect, I want to support you in your resilient fight against cancer.
