Something new is taking the stage in Jefferson Park!

Join us for the debut of The Brig Creative, a monthly showcase celebrating original music, local talent, great food, and of course, Bloody Marys. Created in collaboration with Steve Davern of The Ya-Yas and the Jefferson Park Forward Organization, this new event aims to support and spotlight the incredible creative community right here in our neighborhood.

The first show takes place Sunday, May 31 at 2:00 PM and will continue on the last Sunday of every month.

Whether you're a fan of live music, an artist looking to connect, or simply looking for a unique afternoon out, this is a great opportunity to support local creatives and experience something new in Jefferson Park.

*Important Deadline for Businesses and Residents Affected by 2025 Flooding*

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding businesses, nonprofit organizations, homeowners, and renters in Cook County and surrounding eligible counties that the deadline to apply for federal disaster loans for physical property damage from the severe storms and flash flooding of July 25–28, 2025 is June 22, 2026.

Available assistance includes:
• Up to $2 million for businesses and nonprofits to repair or replace damaged buildings, equipment, inventory, and other assets
• Up to $500,000 for homeowners to repair or replace their primary residence
• Up to $100,000 for homeowners and renters to replace personal property such as furniture, appliances, clothing, and vehicles
• Additional funding may be available for improvements that help protect property from future storm damage

Loan terms can extend up to 30 years, with no payments due and no interest accruing for the first 12 months after disbursement. Interest rates start as low as:
• 4.00% for businesses
• 3.625% for private nonprofits
• 2.813% for homeowners and renters
