SCA Staff Spotlight: Art & Events Around Town! ✨ Our amazing SCA team doesn't just teach and keep things running behind the scenes—they are also incredible working artists making waves all over Chicago! Check out these four amazing happenings coming up (or happening right now) and go show them some love:
1. Catch Teaching Artist Bree Gordon rocking the stage coming up that sounds like an absolute blast. On Friday, Juneteenth (June 19) she’ll be singing a handful of tracks with the guys from Tributosaurus, diving deep into a stellar lineup of songs from 1977. Tickets: $20. 2. Celebrate Asian Pacific American Art with Teaching Artist Walt’s artwork in a fantastic group show at the Zhou B Art Center. Exhibition Dates: May 15th – July 12th (2nd Floor Gallery)
3. Experience "Invisible Cities" with our Program Director, Dan Kerr-Hobert, who is co-creating and performing a unique theatrical experience based on Italo Calvino’s classic work: INVISIBLE CITIES: A Toy Theater Atlas. 4. Explore "Vortex" Curated by Development and Communications Associate Alexandria Knapik. The show is currently on display inside the Buddy Chicago store located right in the Chicago Cultural Center. Drop in during your next downtown loop walk to check it out!
