Gas prices are a mixed bag in Illinois this September. Consumers Gas customers saw the steepest jump — up ~89% from a year ago. Liberty Utilities is up ~41%. 6 of the state's 9 major utilities are charging more than last September. Full breakdown:

Data centers are a contentious issue across Chicagoland and around the country. A special forum in the northwest suburbs focused on educating the public about the facilities and answering some of the questions surrounding them.
