Ask ninth grader Amari* what it has meant to have a Professional Mentor and the full Friends-Chicago team of support since kindergarten, and you will hear what years of showing up can mean.

Her story, shared in this report, puts a face and voice to that journey.
No single year can capture the full impact of a 12.5 year commitment. But every year gives us an opportunity to look closely, learn honestly, and keep getting better.

We owe this annual close look to our children and families. And we owe it to you, because your support makes it possible for us to keep showing up.

This weekend, the Chicago Children's Museum welcomed our families and Professional Mentors for a day of exploration, innovation, and imagination at our annual Family Day. We dug for dinosaur bones, climbed a firetruck, built art projects, played chess, explored Water World, and more.

The museum is a safe space for our youth to explore their current interests and discover new ones. We are immeasurably grateful for our partnership with the Children's Museum, and we can't wait for the next Family Day!
