Global Girls Inc. Founded in 2000, Global Girls, Inc. puts women and girl’s stories on stage, transforms lives and creates global citizens.

Global Girls’ mission is to equip females of color with experiences, habits of mind and skills to nurture their individual growth and inspire them to become changemakers. Through rigorous theatre and dance training, participants develop essential life skills including self-awareness, resilience, tenacity and grit - skills which help them succeed on stage and in life.

GG’s Executive Director had the pleasure of attending the Spotlight Ball celebrating nearly 50 years of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Dance Chicago and its extraordinary impact on Chicago’s arts community. The evening featured a powerful performance showcasing incredible contemporary work, honored two longtime champions of the arts for their contributions as educators, advocates, and supporters, and brought together artists, cultural leaders, and community members for a beautiful night of dinner, dancing, and celebration. As someone whose own journey began in dance, it was especially meaningful to witness the legacy Hubbard Street continues to build — reminding all of us that the arts are not just entertainment, but a force for connection, storytelling, discipline, and transformation across generations.

Take a look back at some of the incredible moments from our Girl^Up Summer Work Readiness Bootcamp 💼

From field trips across the city, inspiring guest presenters, and hands-on career activities to team games, confidence-building workshops, and real conversations about the future — our girls spent the summer learning what it means to step into their leadership and career journeys.

And guess what? We’re enrolling now for this summer’s cohort! ☀️

If you’re a young woman ready to build your confidence, explore career pathways, gain paid work-readiness experience, and be in community with other amazing girls, we’d love to have you join us.
