Congratulations to the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox, who both clinched playoff berths on Thursday. It's the first time the two clubs have ever punched their tickets on the very same day, and the first time they've shared October since 2020.

We're especially proud to see so much of this moment connected to our Hall of Fame family. Cubs chairman Thomas Ricketts (Class of 2017) and White Sox chairman Jerry Reinsdorf (Class of 1997) have both helped shape Chicago baseball for generations. And Class of 2026 inductee Ben Zobrist knows this stage well, having earned World Series MVP honors the last time the Cubs made a run for the ages.

Here's to a thrilling October on both the North Side and the South Side. Good luck, Chicago!

Be sure to join us to celebrate Chicago sports and see Zobrist inducted, among others! https://chicagolandsportshalloffame.com/2026-induction-ceremony-2/

We couldn't agree more with Corey Conners!

Speaking at the Presidents Cup at Medinah this week, Conners praised Chicago's golf courses and its sports culture, adding that it's "a city I think that the PGA Tour should be at every year."

Chicago's golf legacy runs deep. Our Hall of Fame includes Chick Evans, Joe Jemsek and Ken Venturi, and we're proud to keep honoring the athletes who make this a great sports city.

Join us October 15th at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center for the 29th Annual Induction & Awards Dinner: https://chicagolandsportshalloffame.com/2026-induction-ceremony-2/

We will be proud to welcome Jerry Azumah to the Class of 2026 on October 15 in Rosemont!

For seven seasons, Jerry Azumah gave the Chicago Bears everything he had on defense, on special teams, and in the community he still calls home.

A record-setting college running back who won the Walter Payton Award at New Hampshire, Azumah reinvented himself in the NFL as a shutdown cornerback and dynamic return specialist for the Bears.
He earned Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors in 2003, scored the final touchdown ever at old Soldier Field, and was recently enshrined in the College Football Hall of Fame. Off the field, he has become a pillar of Chicago as president of Bears Care and a dedicated advocate for students and families.
