We’re having a volunteer workday to help us with some fall garden tasks like turning our compost, picking up debris and more on Sunday, October 18th at 11:30-2pm. Come lend a hand for as long as you’re able to! Every little bit is appreciated :)

Our volunteer days are on our farm, with limited access to water and bathrooms (we have a portapotty) so please plan accordingly.

Music just added for our fundraiser on October 8th! Baba Yaga’s Stew brews up a pot of bubbling tunes and boiling improvisations, inspired by sounds from all over the world and rooted in American contra dance music. Two of the three members will perform for you! Elizabeth Lucia Thomas on fiddle, oud, banjo, and vocals; Dianna Davis, on accordion, clarinet, piano, and vocals. Their repertoire spans from Bulgaria to Peru, Thailand to South Africa. Don’t forget to buy tickets to our fundraiser 🎟️ link in bio! 🎶

Happy October everyone!

While we love spooky pumpkin decor for Halloween, we also want to make sure these pumpkins are smashed not trashed! That’s why we’re hosting our 2nd pumpkin smash with WasteNot Compost® on Saturday, November 7th at 10am-2pm to smash your old Halloween pumpkins and enjoy some light bevvys and snacks!

What is the Pumpkin Smash?

The Pumpkin Smash is an annual effort by communities to divert pumpkins from landfills by providing locations for residents to drop-off jack-o-lanterns to be composted. It is typically held each year the Saturday after Halloween. Don’t Trash it, Smash it!

Did you know that pumpkins are 90% water? This means they produce a lot of leachate in landfills, further contaminating our soils. But, we can help fix that by composting our pumpkins.

This event is free and open to anyone with old pumpkins they would like to compost!
