Grace may battle anxiety and depression, but she refuses to let those challenges define who she is.
Some days are harder than others. Some days she overthinks, worries, or feels overwhelmed. But every day, Grace chooses to keep moving forward with faith, courage, and hope.
She is learning that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. She is discovering that healing is a journey, not a destination. And she is proving that you can struggle and still shine.
Through friendship, self-love, and support, Grace is learning one important lesson:

After winning the hula-hoop contest at the Chi Town Block Club Party, Jade shared a special moment with her mother, Christine, who has raised and supported her every step of the way. 🤍✨

As a single mother, Christine never allowed the absence of Jade’s father to stop her daughter from feeling loved, encouraged, and seen. From cheering in the audience to celebrating on stage, she reminded Jade that confidence begins at home.

Jade invited Cali, Nyla, and Grace to her Westside Chicago block club party for a day full of music, face painting, bounce houses, and laughs with the community.
From grilled burgers, hotdogs, and wings fresh off the grill to colorful face paint and dancing in the streets, the teens enjoyed every moment together while celebrating friendship, confidence, and summertime in the city.

Mrs. Duncan, Nyla’s mother, treated Cali, Jade, Nyla, and Grace to her famous homemade ice cream sundaes before their big “Make Lipstick Not War” radio interview.

As the producer of the station, Mrs. Duncan helped prep the girls for the spotlight while reminding them to speak with confidence, kindness, and purpose.

During the interview, Cali bravely planned to discuss being bullied because she is legally blind and how her friends stood beside her, defended her, and helped address the bullying instead of staying silent.

While laughing on the porch and enjoying vanilla sundaes topped with bananas, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and cherries, the girls realized their voices could inspire other teens to rise above bullying and believe in themselves.
