Keep an eye out on Facebook and online for the 2023 Speaker at Graduation.
Here is the one from May 2022 Commencement Speaker Juan Gabriel Moreno. I like how he embraced the NEIU motto, Breaking Barriers.

Architect Juan Gabriel Moreno thanked Northeastern Illinois University for “a memory of a lifetime” during the Spring Commencement ceremony on May 13, 2022, ...

Many thanks to all the people who came in and got all the free food . Thank you to those who donated including Mark, Lynn Bryan NEIU's The Nest PALERMO BAKERY!

If you’re one of the few people who see this Facebook post, please come by and say goodbye our hours are 11 till 2pm.

Additionally, the pantry WILL be open until Wednesday May 24. Good luck to all on finals.

It’s been a wonderfully busy week in the pantry helping students to get full bags of food and volunteers and the one staff worker being super helpful. Sarai, Cesar and Sidra are the best!

As student staff manager in the pantry this past year, I’m sad to say my last day will be May 3 because I’m graduating May 12! I’m allowed to work the following week when the pantry is open (as a volunteer).
The pantry will be open the following week for the final week of the 2023 Spring semester last day open is May 10. If anybody has any questions about the pantry, please contact Student Affairs.

It has been a wonderful job getting many thank yous and smiles and I’m hopeful that I can find a position that is as rewarding as this one after I graduate.

You will probably see me at the Green City Market a (huge farmers market) near Lincoln Park zoo working for a farm on Saturdays trying to figure out my next steps and earning $$ and make a wise decision in my future career.
Tbh I wish I could afford a vacation break, but I can’t this week without pay is going to hurt.
Enjoy this last weeks pictures.
Thank you PALERMO BAKERY again for a very generous donation. The muffins and sweets were enjoyed by so many! So happy to know NEIU Career Development graduates work at this amazing bakery near the HiP

We get a Huge order tomorrow for the pantry! If anyone is available between 10-1pm please consider coming by SU 123 to help us put up the dry goods on the shelves or bring boxes to be recycled to the loading doc area.
And who knows, maybe even swinging by while faculty is celebrating right around the corner from us, could be another feel good activity to help give your mind a break and your body a little workout.

I Calendar update courtesy of the loading dock area.

Just picked up a bunch of bananas and bread from Palermo Bakery! This will be out tomorrow, Tuesday when we are open 1-4pm
And while the bananas might not be perfect eating bananas they are perfectly ripe and ready to eat today and tomorrow or to make banana bread if you allow them to get a bit darker
